  • Climate trend: 2024 began in January with slightly colder temperatures than the average of recent years and significantly higher precipitation compared to the past five years, giving us hope from the very start. Spring, initially mild and not particularly rainy, gave way to May and June marked by frequent rains, which made vineyard management and downy mildew control quite challenging. Nevertheless, we managed to handle infections much better than in 2023. In July, temperatures rose significantly, remaining high during the day but dropping enough in the evenings to provide some relief to the vines. In August, some rainfall, finally less severe, offered the plants a much-needed breather, allowing the earlier-ripening grapes to reach perfect maturity. After mid-September, rains became more frequent, slowing down ripening and affecting the later-harvested grapes. Fortunately, in our case, most of the crop had already been brought in, and we can proudly say that the outcome of the long harvest was very positive!

Musella’s Wines

Our wines follow an ambitious project, not only because biodynamic, but because we believe that now is the time for the Valpolicella to further exploit its territorial potential, free from market constraints in order to better express all their innate class in purity and taste.

The elegance inherent in traditional varieties is thus considered by us the conceptual center of our wines, the true revelation of a rich and unique nuances and complexities territory, often enhanced with the right depth in the most commercial wines, thus confusing the public perception .

Cherry bark and spice blend in the typical pleasure of Valpolicella wines and find in Musella a sincere interpretation balance, which goes straight to the heart.
